Dining House is open to Inn Guests 7 days a week for
breakfast and dinner. The general public is invited to dine on
Tuesday through Saturday evenings for dinner 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Reservations Recommended.
Fine spirits, wines, and
assorted beers now available for dinner Monday through Saturday.
Executive Chef Jackson Rouse heads
the kitchen. He brings many years of experience in fine dining and
features local in-season menus to enhance your stay.
Everyone asks for the recipe for
these cookies, enjoy!
| Brown
Sugar Cookies, Preheat oven to 375 degrees |
1 C butter
2 C light brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 C milk
1 t pure vanilla extract |
3 1/4 C all purpose flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt |
Directions: Cream
butter and sugar till fluffily. Add eggs one at a
time beating. after each addition. Add milk and
vanilla. Add flour, baking powder soda and salt. Mix
well. Drop on parchment lined cookie sheets by
tablespoons. Bake for about 12 minutes.
Icing: In a small
saucepan, mix 3 T butter 3 T half and half or 4%
milk and 1/2 C brown sugar. Boil 1 minute. Remove
from heat and beat in 3/4 C confectioners sugar.
Add a little confectioners sugar or cream to make
spreading consistency. Frost cookies while still
warm.
